Lemon Law Atlas is being built as a plain reading of what every state's lemon law actually covers, what it does not, and how long you have. Every claim links the source it came from, with the date that source was last read. Nothing publishes as an answer until two researchers have derived it from the primary source independently and agreed; until a fact clears that, it reads Research pending rather than a guess.
Three questions this site is built to answer
- Is it still under warranty, and does that matter?
- How many repair attempts does your state count, if it counts them?
- How long has it been out of service, and does that change anything?
These are the questions, not the answers. Each state's answer goes in that state's guide once it has been read out of the primary source twice, independently, with the two readings agreeing.
What this site does that the others do not
Reads the statute
When a rule publishes here, it is quoted verbatim from the code with its effective date, and the citation moves when a legislature moves a chapter. No rule has published yet.
Shows its work
A published fact carries the date it was checked and a link to the official text it was checked against, so you never have to take our word for it. It also says, in the same breath, that it was checked by researchers and not by an attorney.
Says "we do not know" out loud
A cell that has not cleared verification reads Research pending. Being visibly incomplete beats being invisibly wrong.
Start with your state
All 50 states have been researched once, most directly against the official text; where an official source could not be reached, the record says so instead of guessing. Researched is not published, though: a fact needs a second independent reading before it renders as an answer, and 0 of 50 rows in the comparison matrix have cleared that so far, and every matrix cell reads "Research pending" until its row does. The Texas guide is ahead of the matrix: its facts cleared two-pass verification on August 24, 2026, and its pages now render answers with their citations.
